The short version
- Calls are not recorded. No audio is stored, by us or by anyone on our behalf.
- What a caller says is written down as text so the job can be booked and checked afterwards. That text is deleted after 30 days.
- Every call opens by saying an AI assistant is answering, before anything is asked.
- We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
- Called a business and want your details gone? Email privacy@calldozer.com.
01Who we are
CallDozer is an AI phone receptionist for service businesses, operated by Rocket Studio (sole proprietor: Andrey Raketskiy), San Diego County, California. In this policy “we” and “CallDozer” mean Rocket Studio.
Contact: privacy@calldozer.com.
02Two different people, two different roles
Business owners are our customers: the plumber or handyman who signs up. For their account information we decide how it is used.
Callers are the people who ring that business. When CallDozer answers it does so on behalf of that business, the way a receptionist would — the business decides what is asked and what happens to the answers, and under California law we act as their service provider. If you called a business and want your information corrected or deleted, contact either of us and we will act on it.
03What we collect
From a business owner: email address; business name, trade, licence status, hours, service area and price list; a phone number for texting jobs to; and Google Calendar access if they connect it.
From a caller:
- the number you are calling from, so the business can call back and the confirmation text has somewhere to go
- your name, because it goes on the appointment
- the service address you give, because somebody has to drive there
- what you need done, to quote it and book the right length of visit
- the language you spoke, so the confirmation text arrives in it
- a written transcript of the call, so what was quoted can be checked
We do not ask for and have no use for card numbers, government identifiers, health information or precise device location.
04Recording, and the disclosure at the start of a call
We do not record calls. Audio passes through to be turned into text and is not retained. What is kept is the text.
The first sentence of every call states that an AI assistant is answering. It is spoken before any question, it cannot be interrupted, and it is not written by the model — it is a fixed line the owner sets. If we ever start recording audio, that sentence will say so first, as California law requires.
05How long we keep it
- Call transcripts: 30 days, then deleted automatically. This runs on a schedule, not on request.
- Bookings — name, phone, address, job, date — are kept while the business is a customer, because they are its record of work. They outlive the transcript on purpose.
- Business account information is kept while the account is open and for up to 12 months after it closes.
06Google Calendar
Connecting a calendar is optional. When an owner connects one we ask permission to read when they are busy and to create, change and remove the appointments CallDozer books.
We use it for two things: to stop offering a caller a time the owner is already busy, and to put a booked job on the calendar the owner actually looks at. We never use calendar data for advertising, profiling or model training.
CallDozer's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The permission can be withdrawn at any time from the Calendar page, or from your own Google account's third-party access settings. Withdrawing it removes our access immediately; appointments already on the calendar stay there.
07Who else touches the information
Running a phone line means other companies handle parts of a call. Each receives only what it needs.
- Telnyx — carries the call and sends text messages
- LiveKit — carries the audio between the phone network and the assistant
- Deepgram — turns speech into text
- OpenAI — the model that conducts the conversation, working from that text
- Google — calendar, only for businesses that connect one
- Resend — email to the owner, and sign-in links
Their terms for the accounts we use do not permit training on customer data, and we add a provider only where the same restriction applies.
08What we never do
- We do not sell personal information, and have not in the preceding 12 months.
- We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- We do not use call content to train our own models.
- We do not give one business access to another's calls, bookings or settings.
09Security
Traffic travels over TLS. Sign-in links and access tokens are stored as hashes, so a copy of our database is not a set of working keys. The permission to reach a connected Google Calendar is stored encrypted. Access to production data is limited to people who need it to run the service.
No system is perfect and we will not pretend otherwise. If information is exposed in a way that affects you, we will tell you and the business you called, promptly and plainly.
10Your rights in California
The CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to know what we hold about you, to have it deleted or corrected, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither), and not to be treated worse for asking.
Email privacy@calldozer.com from the address or number concerned, or say which business you called and roughly when. We answer within 45 days, and we may need to confirm who you are first — mostly to stop somebody else deleting your appointment.
One limit, stated plainly: the business you called is the one whose records these are. If they ask us to keep a booking we keep it for them, and we will tell you so and point you at them.
11Children
CallDozer is a business tool. It is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
12Changes
If we change this policy we update the date above. For a change that materially affects how call information is handled, we email business owners before it takes effect.
