Privacy Policy
Effective 2 September 2026 · Last updated 2 September 2026
The short version
- Calls are not recorded. No audio is stored, by us or by anyone on our behalf.
- What a caller says is written down as text so the job can be booked and so the business owner can see what was agreed. That text is deleted after 30 days.
- Every call opens by saying an AI assistant is answering, before anything else is asked.
- We do not sell personal information and we do not share it for advertising.
- If you called a business using CallDozer and want your details removed, email [email protected] and we will delete them.
1. Who we are
CallDozer is an AI phone receptionist for service businesses, operated by Rocket Studio (sole proprietor: Andrey Raketskiy), San Diego County, California, United States. In this policy "we", "us" and "CallDozer" mean Rocket Studio.
Contact: [email protected].
2. Two different people, two different roles
This policy covers two groups, and our responsibilities differ between them.
Business owners are our customers: the plumber, handyman or electrician who signs up. For their own account information we are the business that decides how it is used — the controller.
Callers are the people who ring that business. When CallDozer answers, it does so on behalf of that business, in the same way a receptionist would. The business decides what is asked and what is done with the answers; we process it for them, under their instructions. Under California law we act as their service provider. If you called a business and want your information corrected or deleted, you may contact either the business or us, and we will act on it.
3. What we collect
From business owners
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| Email address | Signing in, and sending you the jobs that were booked |
| Business name, trade, licence status, hours, service area, price list | So the assistant answers as your business and quotes only your prices |
| Your phone number | Texting you new jobs and callback requests |
| Google Calendar access, if you connect it | See section 6 |
From callers
| What | Why |
|---|---|
| The phone number you are calling from | So the business can call you back, and to send your confirmation text |
| Your name | It goes on the appointment |
| The service address you give | The business has to know where to drive |
| What you need done | To quote it and book the right length of visit |
| The language you spoke | So the confirmation text arrives in that language |
| A written transcript of the call | So what was quoted and agreed can be checked afterwards |
We do not ask for and have no use for payment card numbers, government identifiers, health information or precise device location.
4. Recording, and the disclosure at the start of a call
We do not record calls. Audio passes through in order to be turned into text and is not retained by us. What is kept is the text.
The first sentence of every call states that an AI assistant is answering. It is spoken before any question is asked, it cannot be interrupted, and it is not generated by the model — it is a fixed line the business owner sets. If we ever begin recording audio, that sentence will say so before it happens, as California law requires.
5. How long we keep it
- Call transcripts: 30 days, then deleted automatically. This runs on a schedule, not on request.
- Bookings (name, phone, address, job, date) are kept while the business is a customer, because it is their record of work done. They outlive the transcript on purpose.
- Business account information is kept while the account is open and for up to 12 months after it closes, then deleted.
6. Google Calendar
Connecting a Google Calendar is optional. When a business owner connects one, we ask for permission to read when they are busy and to create, change and remove the appointments CallDozer books.
We use it for exactly two things: to stop offering callers a time the owner is already busy, and to put a booked job on the calendar the owner actually looks at. We do not read the contents of unrelated events beyond the busy/free times needed to avoid double booking, and we never use calendar data for advertising, profiling or model training.
CallDozer's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
The permission can be withdrawn at any time from the Calendar page in the cabinet, or from your own Google account's third-party access settings. Withdrawing it removes our access immediately and deletes the stored permission; appointments already on your calendar stay where they are.
7. Who else touches the information
Running a phone line means other companies handle parts of a call. Each of these receives only what it needs, and none of them may use it for their own purposes.
| Company | What it handles |
|---|---|
| Telnyx | Carries the phone call and sends text messages |
| LiveKit | Carries the audio between the phone network and the assistant |
| Deepgram | Turns speech into text |
| OpenAI | The model that conducts the conversation, working from the text |
| Calendar, only for businesses that connect one | |
| Resend | Sends email to the business owner and sign-in links |
These providers' terms for the accounts we use do not permit training their models on customer data. We do not send them anything beyond what the table describes, and we add providers only where the same restriction applies.
8. What we never do
- We do not sell personal information, and we have not in the preceding 12 months.
- We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
- We do not use call content to train our own models.
- We do not give one business access to another business's calls, bookings or configuration.
9. Security
Traffic to our services travels over TLS. Sign-in links and access tokens are stored as hashes, so a copy of our database is not a set of working keys. The permission to reach a connected Google Calendar is stored encrypted. Access to production data is limited to people who need it to run the service.
No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. If information is exposed in a way that affects you, we will tell you and the business you called, promptly and plainly.
10. Your rights in California
If you live in California, the CCPA as amended by the CPRA gives you the right to know what we hold about you, to have it deleted, to have it corrected, to opt out of its sale or sharing (we do neither), and not to be treated worse for asking.
To exercise any of these, email [email protected] from the address or phone number concerned, or say which business you called and roughly when. We answer within 45 days. We may need to confirm you are who you say you are before deleting anything — mostly to protect you from somebody else deleting your appointment.
One limit worth stating plainly: when you called a business, that business is the one whose records these are. If they ask us to keep the booking, we keep it for them, and we will tell you so and point you at them.
11. Children
CallDozer is a business tool. It is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their information.
12. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above. For a change that materially affects how call information is handled, we will email business owners before it takes effect.
Questions, or want your information removed? [email protected]. A person reads it.
